Battlesbridge Empty Battlesbridge

Left home at 8.15ish in the XR. Stopped for some gas and then made good progress until about three miles before Battlesbridge-----everything stopped in both directions, then came the ambulance's and Fireman Sam x 2, three plod motors. We then sat in the same spot for about 90mins and the tail back was to the A12, when we got moving we could see the reason for the hold up, a little 1930's Austin Seven wrapped around the centre armco barrier and Fireman Sam had cut the roof off to get the unfortunate victim(s) out off the wreck, we were all mobile again to enjoy the day, the victims were not going to have a good day thats for sure.
I got to the show a bit after 11.00 but was soon parked, around the autojumble and found a couple of bits but did notice a few "Car Boot" type pitch's, will spoil this autojumble if this is allowed to continue. Great turn out of alsorts of vehicles, more Yanks than I had seen there for a long while, several commercials and the "Club's Display" area was full. Saw several old friends and had a great day, sad that was the last one at Battlesbridge for 2012.

Sad to hear about the Austin, I hope no one was badly hurt, I wanted to go to Battlesbridge but had a family meal to go to in Earls Colne so drove the Cortina to that instead.

Woke up with a monster hangover after enjoying too many vinos on the Orwell River Cruise last night so wouldn't have been in any fit state to go anyway!
