Thanks, don't think I'd know how to use photoshop!
The base is just a plank of wood sprayed grey, the brickwall's a cardboard cut-out and as for the background image, it's just a google images print out.

Thanks, to be honest I haven't done any private jobs as such but have sold quite a few resprayed vanguard sierras on ebay, mainly to get rid of the left-over spray paints as they were building up!

Again here is my full collection with a typical 1985 street scene diorama:
These are better quality pictures, sorry about the old ones.

Thanks. Just remembered I forgot the red cortina! I'm gonna be respraying a capri in burgundy (as I've only got one) and will put the cortina in with the capri, probably spray it tomorrow evening if it's not raining.

Re: my diecast scale 1/43 collection (uk car park in 1985!)
Well done they really look good in the street scene, I was offered a XR4i last week just like the red one you have but its £1,500 and needs a little bit of work.
Are all yours the same make? Oxford or whoever. I have a collection of 1/43 light commercials (mainly vans) Transits, 100E.105E, Minors, several continental, Fiat, Renault etc. about 50+ in a cabinet in the garage.
It would be good to see a display of your collection at an event during the year, what about the show at Stonham on Sunday 19th August, wayway and myself are involved in organising this one, so we can arrange a site for you, give it some thought and let us know.

Re: my diecast scale 1/43 collection (uk car park in 1985!)
Thanks, I'll give that a think but no guarantees though! The vast majority of these models I didn't keep the boxes as they clogged up too much space - a mistake on my part.
All of these models are vanguards and I only collect vanguards for consistency. For example I had a minichamps escort in red which i converted into right hand drive but it looked different to the vanguards versions, slightly out of sync.
I'd like to see pictures of all your models though, especially if they fit into the theme year 1985!

What about this housing estate?
Here's the whole lot again in a housing estate diorama from 1985:

I still think you need to show your collection at a show and share with people who would be seriously interested, please consider the idea, I think you would be surprised the number of people who have their own little and in some cases large collections, but your angle of displaying in a street scene or car park is a great way of show the cars at their best.

Re: my diecast scale 1/43 collection (uk car park in 1985!)
I'm in south east london.
Already since the last picture there's been a few changes.... gone are the bronze, yellow and white sierras and these have been replaced with fully colour-coded XR4i's (colour-coded bumpers, door handles, spoiler and wingmirrors with a red stripe on the bumpers) in white, yellow, metallic purple and metallic glacier blue which is a shade of borderline silver/sky blue.
I plan to do one or two more of these fully colour-coded sporty XR4i's before I put the pictures up.

Here's the others, I redid the purple again but in a lighter shade.
All the sierras in one shot, only the black version is original, all the others resprayed.

Not my full collection of models, however includes the full range of make and models. Only missing are eight of the ford sierras and two ford escorts:

Re: my diecast scale 1/43 collection (uk car park in 1985!)
Two new pictures with a slightly different diorama. Got a wider vision field so able to put more cars in one shot, on both pictures the cars are the same, just different colours.
The yellow fiesta has obviously been resprayed and is the latest addition.
I'll be putting up more pictures in the near future, ie near-full collection in one shot as the wider camera angle will enable better closer images.
